Fernanda first launched her namesake label, Fernanda Carneiro, in 2008 with a collection of vivid silk dresses. Since its inception, the line garnered attention from press, television stylists and celebrities.
In October 2009, Fernanda was awarded Los Angeles’s “Fashion Angel Emerging Designer Award,” honoring the city’s most promising talent in fashion design. She presented her Spring/Summer 2010 collection at Downtown LA Fashion Week, where she received rave reviews from press including WWD and The LA Times.
In February 2010, she was 1 of 9 finalists in the Oscars® Designer Challenge and showed a sleek, elegant gown on the runway at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. There she was featured on ABC, ET, Access Hollywood & numerous other national and international media outlets.
In March, Fernanda's Fall 2010 collection was showcased at Gen Art’s Fresh Faces runway show in Miami.
Now in 2023, after a 14 year break to raise her two children, Fernanda is relaunching her brand of women's contemporary RTW fashion using a blend of luxurious silks alongside premium deadstock and recycled fabrics made in the USA. Fernanda and her family reside in Naples, FL.
